36" Single Bit Axe Handle Bent Grip American Hickory

Real happy with this handle. Took a bit of work to get a good tight fit.
Well worth the effort, which I enjoy doing anyway.
She is a beast, and looks great and feels so nice in the swing.
The stain brought out all the fine grain. Great piece of wood.

I rehung my grandfather's axe, a Kelly Toolworks axe from around 1920 is my best guess. I think this handle is a fitting compliment.

An amazing value. Handle came as described and it was much more finished than I was expecting. Mounting my 100+ yr old ax head was a breeze and this included all the necessary pieces. 10/10 would recommend.

For just a few dollars more than the box stores I can get something that had the quality I desire, knowing you use American wood while providing American jobs! As you can see from the photos, handle was a perfect match to my father’s former axe. Look forward to doing business again.

I am uk based, purchased 35 handles of different styles and sizes, have to say despite postage and import costs associated with being this side of the pond overall im very happy with the quality, if i was closer would use again. Picture of some of the stock. Wedges and metal wedges also included, and a couple of pencils, great company, Cheers mate.

I ordered a 36" white hickory, grade "good." I got a well crafted handle, made of good quality hickory. I used it to rehandle a beat up 50 year old axe that I probably paid $10 for and should have just discarded but decided to recondition it because it served me well for so long. Now I have something that is very serviceable and can leave to my son when I'm to old to wield it.

A nice handle, definitely worth removing the varnish because the wood is high quality and has a beautiful feel, hung an old jersey pattern plumb and it was a nice process to hang. It’s definitely worth the price and with a little work you can create an fantastic tool that will last a long time.

Bought two #1136 handles, I tried to order the "better" grade, but they were sold out at the time. So, I settled for the "good" grade. I was very happy when I received my two handles, they were both very nice with very straight grain. I could not be happier with the whole transaction. Top quality handles at a decent price.

Great handle. Comfortable and easy to control, Way better than the straight fiberglass that was on this old axe. I have been very pleased with Beaver Tooth so far. Did two wheel barrows this past winter and they turned out great. Delivery times could improve but I guess the old saying holds true "Good Things Come To Those Who Wait"

This handle is beautiful! Well balanced, great feel, smooth but not slick, superb quality, perfect balance, meticulous attention to detail..... I will be buying more handles from beaver-tooth, that’s for sure. No more box diving more mediocre handles and the local hardware store for me! **disregaurd the dirt and imperfection on the handle in the pictures, I chopped 1/4chord over the weekend.***

The American hickory they use actually makes all my tools so strong and attractive that I will be proud to hand them down to my children. I've even started looking for high quality antique tools at estate and garage sales so I can replace the handles and use them. They are like heirloom tools that anyone would be proud to own.

Is a bit on the thick side and the grain has great orientation and no runout. Excellent handle. In the attached pictures the white handle is how it looked before staining/oiling and the darker is how it looks afterward.

Great handle perfect tight grain orientation swings like a Ferrari and hits like a truck!
