Purchased my second offset broad axe handle from these guys recently. Opted for the better grade hickory both times. The handles are more than adequately oversized to custom hang and trim for length. Grain was correctly oriented. The offset is adequate but I steamed and bent both handles to fit me after hanging the axes. Neither axe is a wall hanger and is frequently used. These guys understand their product and sell at a fair price. The poplar wedges included with the handle were a nice extra and correctly sized for the job.
Thank you Reed! Sounds like you understand your axe craft as well. Enjoy.
Still haven’t completed the hang, therefore haven’t tested the performance. There is some runout of the grain but won’t know if it’s a problem until tested. It looks to me to be cosmetic, at least that’s the hope. Otherwise the handle seems sound. For the price I can’t really complain and would not hesitate to purchase another.
Great old school quality made product from quality wood. Glad I made the purchase.
Great handle, I used it all yesterday. Feels great in your hand.
The handle is well made, and the grain runs optimally through the length. My axe head I think is maybe smaller than some, so it took considerable effort to shape the handle to fit. Well done Beaver Tooth crew!

The board axe is great after some whittling. The handle is fantastic. I will definitely purchase from Beaver Tooth again and I highly recommend their products.
The quality of wood is excellent as always, however, I took risk buying these. Broad axe eyes are flat on one side, why they make them with double bit eyes I have no idea... maybe so you can hang it right or left handed? If that's the case, they should just leave them square, we have to cut them down anyway to hang the head. I thought a 3x1 eye would be big enough to carve flat on one side, but it's not. There are large gaps on an 8-10lb head. Maybe a smaller head will fit. Make sure you measure, draw out a 3x1 eye if you have to and make sure you have enough meat to cut the flat side. Nice looking piece of wood though.

Took some time shaping it to fit right handed, but I totally get why beavertooth makes it ambidextrous. Handle is great quality with good grain orientation. Wish it came raw but that’s my only criticism. It was exactly what I needed to complete the hewing axe restoration I was working on. I would buy it again.
The broadaxe handle we received is warped. I took pictures and sent an e-mail to Beavertooth. Its been a week, and I have not received any answer on how we are to proceed.
Your offset broad axe handle is not warped. It is made this way so you don't loose all the skin off your knuckles. This is the offset my friend.
I received a Hickory Broad Ax Handle from The Beaver-Tooth Handle Company on time and in perfect condition. The color was a beautiful light golden brown. The wood grain was tight and followed the curves of the handle. I could not have been happier.

These are a universal fit broad axe handle that take some skill and knowledge to properly hang. That said, I've been satisfied with these handles and have used probably a half dozen in the past. All have had suitable grain and a smooth finish. I always remove the lacquer, but it's not too thick.

Unfortunately I ordered the wrong handle for my Broad Axe Head, but it was so nice that I decided to keep it. Hopefully I can find a vintage Axe Head for it. My pre Civil War Mann Axe head requires the smaller handle which is on order. My only regret is that there is no phone call option, but I understand.
This is the best handle, the best wood, and the best grain orientation I have ever seen. Also, the best price!
Whoever you guys are, you know your business!
I am so thankful to have received this special handle I ordered. I hope you are in business for a very long time.
Thank you,

Very pleased to discover a group who know their products & materials.
If there were a better solution for handling products, I'd like to know of it.
Specialty axe handles are hard to find in my area. The hewing axe handle fits perfectly and is of quality material. I will do business with them again.
I received my offset broadaxe handle from Beaver-Tooth Handle Company. I am very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of this product. These handles are very hard to find especially in this quality.
Very nice handle. One of several handles I have bought. All good quality.
