Great haft, nice blend of sap and heart wood, grain shows a heart on mark side, beautiful with nice grain orientation.

I tried hanging my old scout hatchet on a tractor store handle and was very disappointed with the heft and balance. Beaver-tooth supplied the correct handle with top quality. I bought 5 other handles for various antique hammer heads and carpenter hatchets. Every handle was straight, straight grained, shaped and ready for hanging.

The handle is a great fit for the vintage Plumb Axe. Not much stock removal from the handle for the eye, perfect fit for my son whom I purchase the axe handle! Beaver-Tooth axe handles are made fine, I chose the unfinished so I could finish it myself and hate to remove varnish. This is my second handle purchase, I bought a handle for my felling axe I rehung a few months back!!! I’m very happy with both handles and happy to say I’ll be purchasing more in the future.

The handle I ordered was exactly as described and was in excellent shape. The shipping process was without any issue, and they responded to any question I had very quickly.

Select handle are truly select very straight clear grain and finish was excellent.

The handle and sheath came quickly. Not much work needed just sanded and finished it to my liking. Will be getting more in the future.

Unfortunately, I won't be ordering again. This was my second order and it took over a month to ship a hatchet handle. There was no indication that it was out of stock when I ordered. As someone who has seen a small business grow from a tent at a market to a million dollar company, shipping speed will have to be faster if you want to stay in business. It's that simple.

This was my 3rd attempt to get a new handle for my Plumb, Boy Scout Hatchet. The first two I bought from two different vendors; neither of them fit! (too small). This one was perfect. Well made and the correct size to match the eye on my hatchet. I should have gone with beaver-tooth first.

This axe handle is well made and fits the head nicely. With just a little removal of wood, I was able to pound in the handle for a super snug fit.

Had to do a good deal of filing to fit it onto a 1 lb norlund hatched head, but it ended up fitting pretty well.

The hatchet handle is one of the best handles I've ever seen. Works perfectly with the Norland hatchet head that I purchased it for.

It went on a Norlund hatchet. It fit well after it was narrowed a little (with dremel sanding). I put linseed oil on it x3; it does not absorb much oil. Straight tight grain, with a sliver of heartwood on the butt.

I'm fixing my way through a couple dozen axe heads, hammer heads, and various other tools from 3 generations that would just buy another tool when one broke. the first couple axes I got hardware store handles that compared to these really feel chunky and oversized these fit my hand much better and I don't have to sand off the varnish I just finish with boiled linseed oil or if it has finish it's a good finish that I don't have to mess with

Hatchet handle for Plumb carpenter's style head and Blacksmith handle for 2.5" lb. sledge head. Handles are great! Smooth, straight ,clear of knots, no checks and made from American hickory! Completely satisfied, worth the wait!

As advertised, it will fit my Dad's boy scout hatchet almost perfectly. May do a little Dremel work before attaching.
