10" Ball Pein, Machinist, Jewlers Type Hammer Handle American Hickory

This handle will replace the handel I broke about 75 years ago. I have a lot of fitting to do. I will stain and varnish the wood. The hammer will be polished. It will be a keepsake to remind me of Grandma. The picture shows how it looks currently. It will never be used as a tool again, just something to hold and look at.

Cool handle - however it split when I drove the metal wedge in. No fault of Beaver Tooth - but this is a delicate handle for a very small hammer.

Perfect fit for an old gem. Looks great. Thanks. I will certainly buy from you again when the need arises.

I had to grind it down to fit this little hammer. I was looking for a long time to find a handle to fit this little guy. Smallest in my collection.

I recently ordered this handle for a very small hammer head that I found in my Dad's garage stuff after he passed away five years ago. I had some time to install it on the old hammer head today and the handle worked out great. So happy to buy something Made in America for Americans instead of not having a choice and getting something sub-par from communist China. The shipping took about three weeks, but it was worth the wait. I'm sure my Dad is looking down with a grin seeing that hammer head being mated to a proper high-quality handle. I also bought some decals which are kind of cool.

Your handle was the perfect and enabled me to reutilize a hammer that belonged to my grandfather. Gone are the days that the hardware store had the handle that you need.

This little handle was a perfect fit for a four once ball pein head that was my father's. I played with it as a child and was probably the one who broke the handle. It took very little shaving and fit perfectly, I did not have to use a wedge at all, I stoped short in case it did split, if it needs it later I can put it in. It's a solid handle, well formed and of good grained hickory. Thanks for helping me restore my Dad's eighty year old hammer!

Many years ago, my Dad gave me some hammers he used while a machinist in the 1950s. I’ve used them for decades. About 15 years ago the handle on a small ball peen hammer he’d given me finally snapped. I’d been looking for a replacement since then. One day I decided to give it another try on the internet and found the Beaver-Tooth site. Just received it and it fit perfectly. Looks good and solid. Revived a 70 year old hammer. Thanks.

This handle fit well to an old body Hammer head I have where the original handle broke. A little trimming was needed to get it to fit but once in it fit perfectly. It looks like it was meant to fit there.
The handle was made really well and came with one wood and one metal wedge.

The hammer handles were smooth and cut with the grain of the wood. Worth the wait...

Nice straight grains and close enough to the forged eye sizes to whittle the remainder with a rasp and sanding. I finished my handles with a few cats of Linseed Oil.

Quality of the handle is as expected- clear, straight grain and a smooth finish. This firm is obviously a very small business, so it takes a while to receive your order. The company is very”up front” about their rather protracted lead time for shipment, which is to their credit. If you have time to wait a while and want to support a small U.S.-based business, this firm is for you, but if you need a handle quickly for a project or a repair, you’d be better off working with another supplier.

Good handle, the grain in the handle is running in the right direction, dimensions are correct but the section that goes into the hammer is about a .5 in to short , had to do a lot of work to cut back the handle to have enough to put the wedges in correctly

Nice piece of wood, good fit in my hand, had to file a lot of material for the head to fit all the way down on the handle but very happy with the results. saved an antique hammer.
