Beaver Tooth 32" Single Bit Curved Hickory Axe Handle Plain Hickory

I've recently been overhauling a number of single bit axes I used as a boy, so I can get them back in use now. I've bought 28" through 36" hafts from a several US manufacturers, including Beaver Tooth. I recently fit a 32" BT haft to a 3.5lb Collins Homesteader I bought from ebay. As shipped, the smooth untreated surface made applying my preferred preservatives a lot faster- no wax or similar to strip off, and little additional processing afterwards. The hang went quickly and easily, and I quickly got the axe in service. This somewhat lighter axe seems happiest quartering the split halves of rounds. The handle makes a quick easy swing with plenty of power and no difficulty with aim. I really like how the palm swell is secure so allows a lighter hold that reduces impact in the finger joints.

The quality is fantastic and it seems that the delivery was quick.

One of the nicest axe handles I have ever held. Beautiful even lines, narrow grip, smooth surface. Like they used to be made when I was a kid.

I bought this as an "everyday" axe handle (read less than premium grade) and it arrived quickly and looked v-e-r-y nice. After beating the old handle out of the axe head, and cleaning/sharpening the head, I installed it and took it for a "test drive." It feels good in my hands and swings true (truer than the nut holding onto the handle!) and does the job. I am unable to use it too much right now owning to an arm injury, but plan on using it extensively once the arm is better; I certainly have enough wood to cut/split to keep the handle, and me, busy.

ordering was simple. shipping was fast enough. the handle is well made and the grain was good. the one other important thing for me was the fact that the front end of that handle fills up the big eye in the old Snow and Nealy 3 lb head that I needed the handle for !
I could not find a handle that would fill up that eye, so I an glad someone told me about you folks. best regards,

I bought 4 of these (Grade B) handles and they arrived in great shape in just a few days. They are straight with fairly uniform eyes and sanded bare of any coating. The handle is thin and feels great in the hand and the palm swell is just the right size. They all have minimal run-out and are gorgeous after applying some tung oil. I really appreciate the added attention to detail that Beaver Tooth has accomplished over the past few years. Thanks, I'll be back when I need more.

Very nice handle for my 4lb. Single bit.Better than any big box store. Shipping to California took less than two weeks. If in doubt ,buy one.
