It's PERFECT!!! On my Grandfathers old Collins/Hudson Bay axe head.The handle is a 24" Beaver-Tooth Co. and is also of great quality. I need a 36" axe handle for a 4# Collins single bit and I hope to obtain that handle from Beaver-Tooth Handle Co. as well.
The sheath has good materials and is well made. All that I needed to do was put some shoe grease on the natural leather to protect it. I had an old Collins Hudson Bay axe head that I restored with a Beaver-Tooth hickory handle that went into this project too. Great Products!
A very nice sheath. Unfortunately a bit small for my Collins Hudson Bay. The front top of the head (toe?) would not go all the way into the sheath despite my efforts. So I made a sheath for the axe. The Beaver Tooth handle I hung the head of is super nice.
Ah, sorry to hear that. They fit our Collins HB heads here, so I assume it is safe to say they were not all made just the same size. Glad the handle fit well. Thanks!
I needed to replace the sheath on my Hudson Bay axe. I ordered on Labor Day and received the sheath the following Monday. The sheath is well made of raw leather. It was a tight fit so I put a plastic bag over the axe head and soaked the sheath with water. After stretching it over the axe head I let it dry for a few days. Now it is a perfect fit. I dyed it brown and rubbed it with Sno-seal. Looks great.

Looks great! Excellent quality. Exactly what I needed. When I was 5 yrs old, I swung my Grandpas axe into the dirt with the sheath still on. He was really mad. He never fixed it. That was 35 years ago. I finally restored the axe and this was the perfect match. The axe is approximately 90 years old. Thank you for your quality. It matches the high quality that my Grandfather would approve of.
The handle is excellent, and the sheath fits snug on a Norlund head.
These are high quality and hand made - but learn from my mistake. MEASURE TWICE AND BUY ONCE! I ordered the wrong size in my excitement, so I guess i need to buy a new axe to fit that sheath as well XD

Both the Beaver-Tooth handle and sheath were a perfect fit for an old Collins head I found buried in the back of my barn
I have bought 5 axe sheaths from Beaver Tooth, 4 Hudson Bay and 1 for my Felling axe. The quality is great and they offer good protection for the cutting edge. This last one I bought was a Grade 2 and it looks as good as the Grade 1’s that I bought previously.
The sheath I received for my Hudson Bay Axe fit like a glove. It is well made and a quality piece of leather work.
I needed a sheath for my Council Tools Hudson Bay ax. This fit perfectly and does exactly what I needed it to do. Well made - should last a long time. Honestly, you put it on and forget about it. And the price was very reasonable and the there were no problems in getting the product. Well done!
Sheath fit perfect. I lathered it up with some Skidmore's leather cream a couple times and it looks great. The skidmores darkened it up a little bit which is what I wanted. I will have to get a picture to share of the final product.

Quality leather and craftsmanship
My husband loved the axe handle and leather sheath that I got for him. It was a perfect fit for the axe head he had gotten from his dad. Craftsmanship of both the handle and sheath were amazing. I will definitely order from here again.

I bought the Hudson Bay Axe Sheath to fit a 2-2.5 lb axe. It fit my old axe perfectly and is a good quality sheath to carry an axe in.
Product was delivered as advertised and in a timely manner. The fit was excellent for both handle and sheath ordered. I only wished that at the time I ordered that different grades of handles had been available.

Bought this sheath for a Norlund Hudson Bay 3/4 axe, my favorite go to chopping tool. This sheath offers significantly better protection than the one original to the axe. I may buy several more sheaths for my other Norlund axes that I use with Boy Scouts. It will make handling those tools safer. A good soak down with Neatsfoot oil will make this an outstanding well made and fitting sheath. This sheath and the one supplied with Snow and Nealy 3/4 Hudson Bay axes are very similar.
