    Perfect replaement

When I was a youngster I was a Boy Scout and my dad bought me a scout axe; that was more than 5o years ago. As you can imagine the sheath had deteriorated. When searching for a new sheath a friend recommended Beaver-tooth. I order the sheath for the scout axe and one for a Hudson Bay axe. Like the Hudson Bay axe sheath the sheath for the scout axe was unfinished an a tight fit. I wrapped the axe in a plastic bag, wet the sheath and put it on the axe. After the sheath had dried I removed it from the axe and it was a perfect fit. I then dyed it brown and put a coat of Sno-seal on it for protection.

    Protecting An Old Treasure!

As always with Beaver-Tooth, great service and great product, It fit my old Scout axe from my time in the Scouts back in the early 1960's and helps protect it in my collection.

    Small scout sheath

Really nice plain sheath. Great little starter for my young son to learn a bit of tooling on. Well made and should give him a long service life.

    Scout handle and sheath

I recently found an old Putnam scout hatchet while walking along a gravel road. The handle was trashed and the blade a little rough but still serviceable. Beaver-tooth had the the handle and sheath in stock and shipped fast! The price was great, cheaper than what you would pay at “the rain forest”.
