32" Adirondack Hickory Shtick
Bought this handle to hang a 3.5lb peeling pattern double bit on. Good quality hickory stick! Proper grain orientation with no runout. prominent palm swell though the handle is a tad bit thin for my liking (some folks are into that) but itll work well! Can't wait to get it hung. I also purchased two (USA made) Beaver Tooth double bit sheaths in this order that are very nice. Thanks BT!!

I opted for the number two sheath @ &18.50 and afterwards I was disappointed that I hadn’t chosen the number one however when I received it I looked for flaws and there were none and it appeared in excellent condition and, in my estimation, it could’ve easily been a number one. The sheath was impeccable! I highly recommend this company!

Condition upon delivery was excellent. I hung an old (15yrs) Husky maul head on it and didn’t do the greatest fitting. Had gaps in various locations that I blame myself for. First use showed signs of loose head, but all seemed ok otherwise. Second (more demanding) use proved more telling with resulting crack from combination of loose head and a couple of overstrikes (photos 1&2). Not sure if I can salvage rehang, but I’ll give it a shot. Back to review…..handle is beautiful, un-sealed, and took BL oil well and revealed a lovely warm honey color. Grain is parallel to head.
This is my second Beaver Tooth handle. First one (19”) is perfect as hung on a vintage Collins 2-1/4 # Boy’s axe that has, so far, performed well (photos 3&4).
