I just got a #2 grade , I thought it was great, nice and straight. I was fixing a really old coal miner pick, so the smaller size worked great, gave me just enough room to epoxy it in with some 3500#. Worked beautifully.

Finally found the Right one
Took a while to determine the correct handle for my size Maddock. It fits like sausage in its casing. A little JB Weld applied to the upper and lower seams to fill in the irregularities of this very old head for a finished look.

Exactly what I needed
My dad had the head of an old mattock that has been in our family for a while and asked me to find a replacement handle. The mattock eye was smaller than the others I own so I had trouble finding a handle that provided the eye dimensions that the handle would fit. I found the beaver-tooth website and it gave all of the details I needed to know the handle was correct for the size eye on my mattock. After some sanding and fitting to match the shape of the inside of the eye, the mattock looks great. Really great piece of wood.

Nothing like a good piece of hickory!
Like most, I could not find a replacement handle for my #7 pick axe anywhere local. Found Beaver-tooth Handle Co. on the web and was very impressed with the quality. It was not a "perfect" fit but after a little sanding it was a great fit. Worth the wait to get a great product!

couldn't find a replacement handle for the tool I bought at one of the big box stores. Seems you can't find replacement handles anywhere anymore. Our throw away society. doing an online search I found Beaver Tooth Handle Co. They have to know there wood with a name like that ! Got a great hickory handle that will long out last the original.

New life for an old tool!
I love it when a plan comes together and the new hickory handle for my old garden mattock made it happen.... again! First my hand plow and now the mattock, handles that feel right and take little work to fit as they should. What more could I have asked for? I'll be looking for more tools to restore just so I can purchase more handles! Thanks again!
