First time ordering an axe handle and I can definitely tell you there’s a big difference. Great axe handle definitely will be a coming back.
I have been slowly switching all my striking tool handles to these as they break or wear out. This purchase was for a straight single bit handle i put on a splitting maul. Perfect fit and much nicer feel than the fiberglass handle it came with new. The picture is my now complete set of axes all with beaver tooth handles.
Great handles this was one of four I purchased and hung a vintage Plumb 3.5 head on it. It has great girth to customize the grip if you have smaller hands but fit this monster and I did not have to trim the top at all. The grain orientation was great and super tight I’ll be using this as a chopper and long handled wedge banger. I also used the walnut wedges and they hammered home great!
Minimal liquor to strip but that is common in handheld to prevent damage.

These handles do NOT have lacquer on them to strip. They have a tumbled wax finish that can be sanded off without much fuss to do whatever you like. I have even put linseed oil right over the wax. Looks great nice work.

Best handle I’ve ever held in the hand. I purchased a select grade 36” Straight Shaft Single Bit Axe Handle American Hickory. Tight grain and no bows. I fit a Collins head on it and it was easier to fit than other handles I’ve done. Think I paid $32.00 for it and I’m glad I did. It’s money well spent imo. Once I get my hands on some more heads I’ll be buyin more.

Excellent value. Very good grain orientation, even throughout, clean finish. I buy all my handles from Beaver Tooth, grateful to have them as a supplier. I'm finally getting consistent with hanging axe and maul heads, and split a lot of wood for my home and to sell. All with these handles. Also: bought a replacement leaf rake handle from Beaver Tooth, excellent product as well. Kept a cheap foreign-made rake going without having to throw it out and buy more disposable crap. We need more businesses like Beaver Tooth, and less Amazon addiction.
A maul handle needs to be MUCH WIDER than the one you just sold me.

You puchsed an axe handle. We have s seperate listing for a straight maul handle. The maul handle is larger.

Fit my maul great. I just had to shave down the wedge a little. The handle was #2 grade. It looks great , and I’ m sure it will be fine. It’s a working axe. You just have to be patient, it can take a little while to get here.

Don’t waste your time with handles from a big box store or a hardware store. These are far superior with perfect great grain. Will by for my other axes when needed.
Loved the handle, came in almost fit to the axe head. Required very little work. I burned the handle and sealed with a boiled seed oil and stain combo. Came out great.
Unusual review title ? Let me explain I titled this review as pride because as soon as I opened my box it was plan to see these people take pride in what they do unbelievable quality other companies should take a lesson from beaver tooth

You will never buy a hardware store handle again. I honestly contemplated whether this guy makes money from these handles. Clear and pure as can be.
Excellent handle. For someone who favors the simplicity of homemade axe handles this is about as close as it gets. Straight grain throughout, good ring orientation, all white. Couldn't ask for anything better.
I have not utilized this handle yet, but it is a big solid piece of wood nicely shaped into a handle just waiting to be used.
The handles keep me coming back for more.

Beautiful axe handles considering the grade. Postage time was lengthy, but was explained prior. Hard to find decent replacement handles nowadays. Will buy again
