60" Beaver Tooth Eye Hoe / Scovel Replacement Handle Large Eye

I couldn’t find Eye hoe handles anyplace near me. Was so glad to find a USA source for these at a reasonable price. I bought 4 and was pleased that I waited for these. Easy to purchase and a really nice handle.

I bought this for my father in law. He had searched all the local stores for a hoe handle for his muscovy hoe that he believes is over 50 years old. I was super impressed with the quality and fit of the hoe. The handle itself was a little thicker than the one that was on it but still fit the hoe perfectly. It took about a month to get it but that is what I knew before ordering it. It was well worth the wait and will definitely be ordering from them again.

The handles were a good value and after a little modification they worked great for the application I got them for which was handles for eye hoes from Thailand. How long it took for shipping was the only drawback.

I inherited a grub home from my grandfather with a made in USA marking on the head, it has a rather large egg-shaped eye which I’m assuming is superior to a round hole. Can’t get these anymore. It has a short pick handle on it now but I wanted a long handle that would be just as strong as the pick handle. This scovel handle is great, with near perfect straight grain and finishing. But the swelled end isn’t big enough for the eye and it’s not nearly as burly as a pick handle. I have heavy clay and rocks so I need to put a lot of body leverage on it regularly. I’m going to mount a smaller one handed mattock tiller head to this and make my ideal hoe handle from a young maple tree.

The quality of these replacement handles are apparent the moment you see them. Sturdy, no defects, and a beautiful stamp of manufacture! Highly recommend!

I have been looking for these for several years as no one local carries them. Ordered 3: one for my father's Scoville, one for a newer Seymour, and a spare.
Quality is excelent! Trimmed off about one inch of extra after installing on how ( just like my last one). I did notice that the flared end was slightly eccentric. I'm using this feature to play with the "attack angle" of the blade when I use it. I also sanded the finish and oiled the handle (my preference).
Next will be handled for English shovels and American spades.
