These handles fit full size(several weights generally from 3 to 5 lbs.) Double bit axes with elliptical shaped eye. 36" long with 2-5/8" x 5/8" eye. Each handle comes with one wood & metal wedge for a secure attachment to your axe head. This handle and all our fine handles are grown and made in the USA. Help keep American Strong and buy American! 36" long handle in the straight double bit pattern. Some other grades and finishes are in the drop down box at the top. Some #2 will have larger eye.

This is a great product. As you can see I lightly stained the handle and applied a little urethane. I was able to fit it to the axe head with minimal trimming and sanding. It is a perfect pairing with my daughter's axe head.
Bought a 36” handle for a double bit Collins. Very little work to get a tight fit. This was the 3rd handle I’ve purchased from Beaver Tooth. I’ve tried a couple other handle companies, but felt their quality was inferior. I’ll keep buying Beaver Tooth brand.

Really good product. Well-finished, easy to work and hang the head. Especially appreciated the lack of any lacquer or coating, so it takes linseed oiling straight away.
Leather sheath, also from Beaver Tooth, fits perfectly. I now have one beautiful renewed double-bit axe.

This was my first time re-handling an axe and this double bit axe handle from Beaver Tooth was a perfect fit, making for a solid slinger. The balance was great! The wood was smooth and tough. I may have gotten lucky on the first axe project but all in all I was very pleased and have ordered a second one for my next double bit.

Big box stores sell them - yes. However, they are generally junk. Hard to beat an outstanding USA handmade handle! Out of the box it's set to go! I did some light sanding and linseed oil. I'll be getting handles here as long as I can!

Excellent handle. No run out. The grain is almost perfectly aligned. The head was close to a perfect fit when I got it. Slight adjustment and it fits perfect.
Finished mine with a light burn and boiled linseed oil after shaving it down just a little bit.

This handle was great! The eye dimensions were accurate, the grain orientation was perfect and the over all finish beaver tooth achieved was completely usable on the rest of the handle. These products seem to definitely be worth the price and the wait (ordering from Canada)
This handle was perfect for a True Temper Perfect I salvaged from an antique store. The grain is money and it didn’t take too much shaping to get a great fit. I will definitely buy more handles from Beaver Tooth when I get more heads to restore. Fast shipping and they sure know how to pick wood with correct grain orientation. Mine sure was thirsty for linseed oil though, which is what I would expect. Damn fine handle, not sure there is any better.
Beaver tooth handle r the best out there I did two bit axe heads and the handle fit great with a little sanding on the one axe and the outher one slipped right on dident size heads I burned the handle looks grate Ile be buying more u get AAAAAAAA++++++++++++++++++++

Fit extremely well on an old true temper Kelly Works double bit. Was used as a gift for one of my groomsmen
The handle and wedge fit a Craftsman double-bit head I picked up for $8 at an antique mall almost perfectly. It only took about ten minutes to make the fit perfect with a wood rasp and it was ready to use almost right away.
When I ordered my handle the top grade wasn't available so I went with the second one, it was a great surprise. I hung my old collins legitimus in no time. Straight as a arrow and great grain orientation. What else can you ask for?

I bought a double bit ax handle; it arrived timely, and is a great handle. You cannot beat this company, this is the second handle I've purchased from them. Both of the handles I purchased were not available locally anymore. It is great having a source for quality handles, they are becoming very difficult to find.
