14" Broad or Half Hatchet Handle American Hickory

As a Christmas/ birthday gift for my grandson I restored a Plumb Victory half hatchet. Finding a replacement handle was no easy task until I contacted Beaver-Tooth. I was directed to the correct handle and you can see the results. I am a very satisfied customer.

I’ve purchased a few Beaver Tooth handles and found them to be of high quality at a reasonable price. I hung two half hatchets with large eye and found easy to fit and dimensions as described on website. Take extra effort to measure eye for the best fit. Would highly recommend Beaver Tooth handles. Good product and it worked out great for what i was doing.

Followed the directions and upon inserting the metal wedge in the perpendicular position a crack appeared. Only time will tell if the crack will cause a failure.

After much searching for a proper handle for my Plumb carpenter's hatchet, I finally found exactly what I needed at Beaver Tooth! After a little trimming, which was stated that it would need, its a perfect custom fit.

This fit BEAUTIFULLY on a refurbished hatchet head I ran across. I didn't like the finish it came with but a couple coats of acetone on a rag took it off with no problems. Refinished using oil and paste wax and now we are cooking with gas.

I needed to re-handle an old Craftsman Carpenter Hatchet and only had to come here. The handle arrived in good time and upon initial fit I realized that it was going to go on almost with rasping. That almost was about three minutes worth and everything was ready to hand. Thanks Beaver-Tooth!

A tad slow on delivery but worth waiting for. The handle was specified as not top grade, I don't know why. Beautiful straight grain and perfectly shaped. Took a considerable amount of rasp and sanding work for a good fit. My great -uncle's very old broad hatchet rusty and ugly after sanding and polishing, edge filled to cut paper looks better than new with this handle. Will do business here again.

It was listed as having defects and that is correct. It was made from a significantly defective piece of wood. It will work fine as an occasionally used tool for splitting kindling at home. No complaints - you get what you pay for and I paid $1.50 + shipping. I would have paid another $5 if the higher quality was available. All of my other handles from this company have been primo. I'll order from them again.

Seems strong. Wedges and such feel like they will hold the hatchet together well.
