It was listed as having defects and that is correct. It was made from a significantly defective piece of wood. It will work fine as an occasionally used tool for splitting kindling at home. No complaints - you get what you pay for and I paid $1.50 + shipping. I would have paid another $5 if the higher quality was available. All of my other handles from this company have been primo. I'll order from them again.
Seems strong. Wedges and such feel like they will hold the hatchet together well.
Though the order took a while to fill, I am very happy with the quality and fit. I will certainly order again.
Thanks to you I was able to restore the handle on my wife's, grandfather's roofing hatchet and pass it on to our son. Great service and product. Thank you!!
