48" Beaver Tooth Razorback Shovel Handle Replacement

I have this old digging fork. Like nothing I have ever seen. It has a long ferrule that splits into an upper and lower wing with the rivet up the handle about a foot. I wanted to save that ferrule so I got this handle, as it is the first time I have seen anything close to the original. I will need to steam it and reform the bend up about six inches to make it fit right but I still have the old handle to make a form for the bend. This was my favorite fork and I can't wait to use it again. It was this and the octagonal hammer handles that led me to Beaver-tooth.``

I ordered 10 48 inch razorback ash handles .
They arrived quickly and look great .
I’ve already rehandled 6 shovel heads .
Rubbing down with linseed oil for a few days
before I put them in service .
I’ll definitely order handles from here again .
PS picked up several lower grade sledge
handles and they look better than what’s in the stores

This handle is probably better than the shovel head. Good quality. The previous handle broke on an inexpensive shovel. It was not a standard razorback, but close. Had to cut off a couple inches. Its working fine now. I should have gotten a proper rivet for it, I am using a bolt and nut.

Great quality. It needed a bit of shaping to fit my shovel, but worked out well.
