Refurbished my wheelbarrow and ordered new handles and wedges. They are very good quality. Stripped them down and stained them dark walnut and then gave them a nice few coats of poly finish. In retrospect I should have requested them in raw form with no finish. It took some work to strip them down, as they do a great job putting a ready to go finish on them!

The 60 inch wheelbarrow handles that I bought from Beaver-Tooth Handle Company were worth waiting for. A lengthy search on line failed to generate a genuine hardwood product, until this company's website appeared. A modest effort to refurbish a steel wheelbarrow was made successful by having these ash handles to work with. The wheelbarrow is better and stronger than when it was new.
Beaver-Tooth is an excellent example of traditional craftsmanship and good business practices. Very impressed!

These handles are GREAT! Way better than the big box store ones which these are replacing on the deep wheelbarrow. Wedges were smaller than the original on the smaller wheelbarrow but I made it work without much fuss. I finished them with 4 coats of WATCO Dark Walnut Danish oil plus three coats of Spar Urethane. All new stainless fasteners.

Had to modify handles and wedges but I knew that beforehand. My old barrow (30+ yrs) looks good with new handles

Much better than anything I could get locally. One of the handles has a small checking on the end and one of the wedges has a crack. I’m sure the will work just fine.

Great quality much better then hardware store handles

I compared this to the local big box hardware store and yup, these hickory handles are much more substantial in weight and of course durability. Glad I found these @ Beaver Tooth! FYI the optional wedges appear to be sloped on the narrow side.

Excellent quality, but surprised only one drilled for front bracket.

Good quality handles with wedges, worked great, but did have to re-drill some holes to fit my wheelbarrow.

These are great handles. Nicely made and sliver free. I expect they will last longer than the other component on the re-conditioned wheel barrow.

Restoring a wheelbarrow that was given to me by my grandfather. Brings back memories of doing heavy work and getting paid much more than you are worth over summer vacation. I never thought I would be able to find handles that were compatible, I found them at Beaver-Tooth Handle company. Same wood, same dimensions. Imagine replacing parts on something that was made nearly 100 years ago with parts comparable to original. Excellent customer service too .
