I am very happy with my purchase of replacement handles for my USGI pick/mattocks. Great wood and great fit. I keep one in the garden and one in my pickups "get unstuck box". Easy order and quick shipping. Thank you!
Great fit on a Truper 2.5 lb pick mattock. Also tried the handle in a US Army pick mattock made by Diamond Calk in 1944 and it fit well also. Very pleased with the quality of this handle.
Exactly there's product I needed, good quality, quick delivery. No complaints at all!!!
The handle was just what my 1944 Pick Mattock head needed. Thanks for a great handle!
Had little hope that this handle was going to fit a pick that old. I could have never been so far off. Perfect fit just the way it should be,

JUST WHAT I NEEDED. I LOVE IT. FITS GREAT. SEE PIC. I WILL WRAP THE HANDLE LIKE THE OLD ONE. I RETIRED THE OLD WARRIOR IN PROPER FASHION AND SENT THE ASHES ON THEIR WAY. THANKS AGAIN BRUCE.
I bought this small pick mattock at a Marin County Fire Dept surplus auctio 50 years ago. Although it was still usable after decades of use its handle was almost gone. I was delighted to find Beaver Tooth Handles. The catagories, pictures and eye measurements made it possible for me to know this handle would work. It slipped right on for a perfict fit.
Blank worked wonderful after carefully fitting, shaping and sanding to size of my fathers WW2 tool he carried through North Africa and Italy. I have been looking everywhere for a replacement for the past 15-20 years after breakage.
I was very pleased to find the beaver tooth site, and even happier to receive a perfect replica handle for an entrenching tool from World War two. The wood and worksmanship were first quality. I thought the price was very reasonable. I'll be a return customer for sure 0q
I Found a 1944 WWII Pick-Mattock head without handle and canvas. Found WWII canvas surplus and new hickory handle from Beaver-Tooth Handle Company. A little Watco Oil on the handle and I could not be more pleased. Tossed it in my truck's tool box and I will put it back in service. I could not have completed the task without Beaver-Tooth Handle Co. and their easy to use website......Thank you Beaver-Tooth!
My new handle arrived very quickly, fits exactly and feels great in my hand. The only possible drawback is it seems too nice to use -- almost. The pick head is 76 years old and this handle should make it last another few decades. Thank you!
I had been having issues finding a handle for my 1944 Diamond Calk army pick. The handle attached well without need to shave the handle. I am not sure if I will add a wedge later on.The hardest part was waiting for the handle to arrive. They are upfront of it taking 4 weeks so I waited patiently. The quality was superb. If I ever have need to buy another I know where to go.
We had a bit of ruff start to the new year. My Mother Who worked for me doing shipping was diagnosed with 3 three lymphoma this Jan. She is doing well with treatments so far. She was very sick this month and hospitalized before we found out what was going on with her health. As a result I missed shipping for a good week. She is not currently working either. With all this shipping has gotten way behind. Running about 4 weeks from order date right now. It is just me doing all the shipping etc. So it will take awhile to catch up.
Thank you,
Mark
I found a small pick head stamped “US”. I browsed through the products and found a match. Nice straight grained hickory. The shipping was a little slow, but they are up front with that. Three more handles are ordered for hammers needing replacement handles. I like this place!
Found an old mattock my Grandpa used and decided to get a new handle. The mattock is made in the USA so I had to get a handle made here too. Works great and a great price too!

After trying to find local sources for handles for these wonderful old tools, I found Beaver Tooth's site, and ordered two. The detailed measurements of the handle, compared to the eye size of my old heads, made me pretty confident they'd fit. They did, with only minor reshaping to get a deep and even fit, and now I've got spares for the most used of my digging/weeding tools. A couple coats of linseed oil/danish oil blend, and they are ready for service
My single quibble is a wish that the grip area was a little fatter, with more of a swell toward the butt. Both would make gripping easier.
This pic axe grubbing hoe was grand paw’s and I repaired it looks great
This was the most beautiful piece of hickory. I put 5 coats of oil on it in 5 consecutive days. The sanding and contour was top notch.
I couldnt have done better myself if I had a piece of riven Hickory. As Arnold would say "I'll be back"
Was absolutely amazed at the fit and finish of the product. Perfect fit. Will recommend this company to anyone. It is good to know that there are American companies still making / selling quality products made right here in the USA. I will buy again. Thanks again.
Fit my dads WWII army pick great.
Absolutely perfect. Beautiful wood. Thanks for the quick delivery!
