One of my log carriers had a badly weathered handled. It was a safety concern for our trails association. This will alleviate concerns. It's a red/white hickory blend which doesn't concern me. The key is that the grain is continuous through the handle.

Excellent handle, knot free and good tight hickory. A little splash of red heart but doesn't bother me. On a more comical note my mail carrier declared that it was the largest french rolling pin she had ever seen.

This was the third handle I ordered from Beaver-Tooth, the first two were perfect, this one however had a crack that ran all the way through the handle. I’m giving this five stars because of their professionalism, I was impressed by the speed in which they handled this situation. Because of their dedication to customer service I have since ordered another handle and plan to order more. Did I say customer service I meant to say customer care, thumbs up Beaver-Tooth.
