Can't say enough about your craftsmanship.

I bought the #2 grade and thought the grain and design was very well done. The only reason for 4 stars is there was no mention of the handle being varnished in the description. I was hoping for a bare wood handle to finish myself. It took a little extra effort to scrape the varnish. But all in all this was a very well done handle.

The purchase process was great, product arrived in great condition and assembly went well. Hopefully it lasts a long time!

I ordered one of these in the "better" grade and was very happy with the product. I have used it for over a month, and it has held up to splitting oak and hickory. It fit well and has no knots, or other imperfections. I would order from Beavertooth again.

Can’t ask for better quality at a great price the order does take a little while to receive but it is definitely worth the wait

I have a teenager splitting my firewood, so I cant get enough moual handles. I love the Beaver Tooth products. Always worth the wait for exceptional quality rather than a quick run to hardware store for low quality handles.

At age 75, I've been cutting and splitting my own firewood for 63 years ... about two cords per year. I started out with a crosscut saw, my granddad, and a seven-pound splitting maul. The crosscut and old Pa are gone, but I'm still splitting with that maul, and trimming out with a DB axe. No power splitters on this place, and never will be. These hickory handles are just outstanding .... prime wood ... so beautiful I almost want to frame my new handles as a wall decoration. But, I gotta keep working them! Thanks to the Cumberland Mountain guys who make and ship these out. Keep up the good work, boys!

Perfect fit to replace handle in a Craftsman maul. Once old handle was out , new one was about 15 minutes and done. Very happy

For the price these are the perfect handle. I'm a wood burner so i process about 7 cord of wood a year and split it all by hand. I love the fact that the handle comes without finish so i just needed to finish sand it and put some oil on it to get it up to snuff.

Ordered a 36 inch Straight Shaft Bit Axe Handle Hickory #2 to replace the one the kids destroyed. What I received was a beautiful Hickory handle I would have graded as #1, with some fine tuning I installed the handle. I really hate using it because it now looks like a piece of Art!
Covid 19 did mess with delivery but it was well worth the wait.

Just as described on website. No evident flaws. Easy to install. I don't know why it is listed as #2.

The handle is obviously of high quality; removing the old handle took some effort but putting the new on in was a breeze.

I ordered the #2 grade handle, but it looked knot and blemish-free to me. I fitted for the old maul head quite easily without having to shave down the handle at all. It fit quite snug and tight and should serve me for many years to come. I do plan to strip off the wax finish and coat the handle in tung oil. I use Milk Paint Company's 50:50 tung oil:citrus solvent blend.

Received the maul handle along with several other handles that I had ordered. Straight and knot free, twice the quality of what the hardware store had. Back in business with an 8lb "Mad in USA" maul.
