The made in USA handle goes well with my old made in USA garden fork. The ash handle is well made and fits tightly in the metal ferrule. The metal portion of the D grip handle is also tight.
The only gripe I have is that the hole for the fork tang was drilled too large, which required me to epoxy the tang to the handle. Epoxy works well, but is an extra step. It would have been nice if the ash handle had a clear finish for protection from the elements, but that is something I can do when I have the can open for another project.
It is hard to fit all the tools out there with one handle. Sometimes you have to do a little fitting work. Hope it holds up and works well.
This is a really excellent handle for my vintage "basket" fork. The wood is so hard that I was able to clamp it in the vise and hammer in the fork tang with hardly a mark left on the handle. I actually purchased a #2 grade handle but they either shipped me a #1 or their #2 is better than other manufacturer's #1. I will continue to purchase tool handles from Beaver-Tooth
Took a little time to get to Maine but understandable. Quality is excellent - light and strong. Nice to have a longer handle for a spading fork so as to get better leverage.
I purchased a number of wooden handles to repair some tools around my farm. I received high quality handles that fit my application perfect. Even a couple of handles for my sons boy scout hatchet. I am very happy! Thanks Beaver-Tooth Handle Co.!
I was very pleased with the price and the quality of construction. Wood finish was a bit on the rough side but all-in-all it is an excellent product as were all Beaver Tooth items I purchased in the past. Beaver Tooth is the first place I go for handles and similar products. I actually ordered an item directly and through Amazon. Amazon arrived first by a week or ten days. I just wish they would make a replacement handle for the military folding entrenching tool. There is also similar tools marketed commercially which take the same handle.

Outstanding material, perfect fit. Great customer service, received second day. Highly recommend.
Wonderful..Everything a person is looking for in a tool…It’s there…Keep up the good work…
Shipped when they said it would...
Perfect fit for the "potato fork" that's been in my family for generations. This sturdy handle will ensure it lasts well into the generations that follow.
Good product. Delivered as expected
Handle was great fit perfectly works good like I have a brand new fork price reasonable quality great
I was really happy to receive the handle and install it. I immediately coated it with boiled linseed oil and it just looks great and feels great. I plan on taking good care of it and get many years of gardening work done with it. Thankfully, there are still places out there that make quality products and I didn't have to trash my garden tool because of a rotted handle. Highly recommended! I don't know how ya'll do this for such an affordable price.
Great company to deal with. Super easy to order products on their site. Awesome American quality when it arrives. Thanks Beaver Tooth
The D handle is solid construction, unlike what’s carried at the big box stores. This is pro grade craftsmanship that will last years, in fact I don’t think I will ever need to replace it! I like the 40” length. As always, awesome hickory shaft.
I ordered this because I could not find one of this length locally. Ordering process was quick and easy. Delivery was on time. My big concern had been attaching the new handle to the old fork tines. Would I have to use epoxy? Would it work well in the garden? Couldn't have been easier. Simply inserted the tang in the new handle and forced it home. Went right into the garden and began to work. Very happy with my purchase and the service.
Handle is well made with excellent quality wood; should last a long time.
OUTSTANDING IN EVERY WAY --HANDLE /PRICE/SHIPPING --DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THEN Beaver-Tooth Handle Co.
Although I should have ordered the 30" instead of the 42", this handle is perfect. Rather than a spading fork, I used it for the handle of my very old scoop shovel and it worked great.
It appears to be a good quality handle. Is it any better than any other handle, I don't know. Will it outlast any other handle. Well the one I'm replacing lasted 20+ years. If it lasts that long, it will outlast me.
This handle was made very good and we are happy with it. Love that it is made in the USA too.
The handle came quickly and installed easily to my fairly old potato fork. It is now Rock Solid and I look forward to using it I'm potato bed next fall. Exceeded my expectations!
Good handle, just took too long to get it.
Please read the shipping info. page then you will know how long it will take to get your item.
Good handle and good value. Nice wooden D grip, no plastic nonsense.
I got two of them and restored two pitchforks that my wife was about to throw away I love them went in perfectly and a good sturdy handles
Great .......just what I ordered!
it did not fit my shovel head exactly but I got it to work. it is of high quality for sure. I am pleased. and the prices cant be beat.
Surprised how beautiful it looked. Nice little paint scheme, different from the pic. My particular handle had a red top (red, blue paint scheme). Wood is white ash.
We do sometimes have these in different colors for the painted metal parts. Yes, yours was Red and Blue with white ash.
So red, white and blue!
